Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use SeaTrace. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Description of Service

SeaTrace provides:

• Automatic and manual GPS tracking of boat voyages
• Background location tracking with automatic voyage detection
• Interactive route maps and voyage replay with speed, heading, and location timeline
• Distance, speed, and duration statistics for every trip
• Organized voyage history and lifetime boating statistics
• Offline local storage of your tracking data, with optional cloud sync

Subscriptions & Billing

• Subscriptions are offered on a weekly ($4.99/week) or yearly ($39.99/year) basis, as selected at checkout
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID (App Store) or Google account (Google Play) at the time of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same price unless otherwise communicated in advance
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings or Google Play subscription settings
• No refund will be issued for the unused portion of a billing period if you cancel mid-cycle, except as required by applicable law or App Store / Google Play policy
• Prices are subject to change; we will provide notice of any price changes before they take effect for existing subscribers, in accordance with App Store and Google Play requirements

Managing Your Subscription

Subscription purchases are managed directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. To cancel, turn off auto-renewal, or request a refund, please use your device's subscription settings or contact Apple/Google support directly, as we do not have the ability to process payments or refunds on their platforms.

User Content

"User Content" includes GPS routes, voyage data, trip names and notes, and any other information you provide. By submitting User Content, you:

• Confirm that the information you submit is your own and that you have the right to submit it
• Grant us a limited license to process your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service to you
• Retain ownership of your User Content; we do not claim ownership over your voyage or location data
• Understand that automatically detected voyage data (start/stop, distance, speed) is generated by automated systems and may occasionally be inaccurate

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Use SeaTrace to track a vessel or location without the authority or right to do so
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying tracking or mapping technology or source code
• Use automated means to access or scrape the Service
• Rely on SeaTrace as a primary means of marine navigation or safety-of-life navigation aid
• Upload content that is unlawful, obscene, or infringes on the rights of others

Navigation & Safety Disclaimer

Location Services

SeaTrace requires access to your device's location services to record voyages. If you enable Automatic Voyage Detection, the App may access your location in the background, including when the App is closed, to detect movement and start or stop recording automatically. You can disable Automatic Voyage Detection or background location access at any time in your device or app settings; doing so may limit the App's core functionality.

Intellectual Property

The Application, including its design, features, mapping integrations, graphics, and content (excluding your User Content), is owned by the SeaTrace Team and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Application without our prior written consent.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Application at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Application and delete your account at any time. Termination does not entitle you to a refund for any unused subscription period, except as required by law or platform policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that GPS tracking, automatic voyage detection, or route data will be accurate, error-free, or uninterrupted.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the SeaTrace Team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Application, including reliance on any GPS route, distance, speed, heading, or automatically detected voyage data.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date, and where required, we will notify you through the app or via email. Continued use of the Application after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the SeaTrace Team operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
